Halloween has always been at the top of my favorite holiday list. I can't pinpoint why exactly as there are so many reasons. One thing I do know, is that this is the holiday I look forward to all year, so I absolutely wanted to participate in this hop.

As a child, I enjoyed the traditional Halloween activities of pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, decorating cookies, etc, but it wasn't until I began reading more and more about the history of the holiday, that I began to appreciate it for more than just picking out a great costume and sorting my candy stash at the end of the night. This year, I'll be trying out a new Halloween book by Lisa Morton: Trick or Treat: A History of Halloween.
