A young girl is killed in the crossfire after a routine arrest goes
terribly wrong, and Lt. Lindsay Boxer has to defend herself against a

Watching the fireworks which are gettng cancelled in this area due to dry conditions.

Normally for the 4th, I got down to my cousin's (really almost a half of my family living on the same block) for a huge party, fireworks, etc. This year though, I didn't make it down. So I'm just relaxing and doing some reading :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of 4th of July is the camaraderie and the harmonious cohesiveness that I get to witness when we all go to the local park for fireworks. I love that families and individuals from so many races are all sitting together on their blankets or lawn chairs, sometimes even intermingling with each other, sharing munchies, striking up conversations. It is the PERFECT example of the melting pot and the diversity of this great nation - which is what makes it absolutely beautiful.
